The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

It's a long shot, but I was wondering if someone in the Leeds area of the UK would be interested in a trade?

I'm due to fly out for Thought Bubble on November 23rd and plan on driving into Scotland to visit Mark Millar. I wanted to rent an Alfa Romeo or something cool for the road, but the rental places nearby only have basic, boring cars. I'd be willing to trade art with someone who's willing to lend me a cool set of wheels! Or maybe a friend of yours has a cool car and you could steal his keys? If not, then I'll be doomed to a crappy Citroen or something.

I know it's a weird request, but I thought I'd give it a try. And YES, I know I've been watching too much Top Gear.

this just means you need to draw more things brits like! If my comics, American TV and Film watching has taught me anything you'll find this list useful!

Gams, bad teeth, Vorpal Rabbits, pipes, men in dresses, cigarettes but call them "fags", put "oy" "bullocks" and "cunt" into your dialogue, every now and then just shout "god save the queen," when your comedy stinks just say "you just don't get our humor" and maybe try and be polite and kind?

Pretty soon those brits will be loaning their cars to you!

Believe me he does!Poor fella spent all his savings when he retired to buy it and restore the damn thing.At least in my hometown, there is some kind of club for the AR owners...I'm quite certain that if you indeed head down here, in any other big city the chance of seeing one is good, those rides are the sweethearts of most collectors

I wish I could see a all original Shelby Cobra, have never seen one before.I believe up north it's easy to spot one right?One of my favorite classic cars.

Ha! Nice thought but you can't just borrow a car in the UK Sean. If you're at the wheel of any vehicle in the UK you need to be insured to drive it. Typically private cars have 1-2 named drivers on the insurance which you can be added to but it'll cost a packet. Draconian laws mean if you get pulled over for anything and if you're uninsured the car gets seized and you'll just get dumped by the side of the road and left and if you have an accident you'll be well and truly in the shit.
