Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Just another reminder for those looking for original art: I've changed art dealers.  So from now on you'll be heading to Essentialsequential.com for your Sean Murphy needs.

(insert "Sean Murphy needs" joke here)

But for now, I've pulled all art sales until this summer.  DC hasn't announced it yet, but Punk Rock Jesus will be coming out this summer through Vertigo.  Once it's released, I'm going to start selling 1/2 of my PRJ pages along with all the Hellblazer, Joe the Barbarian and American Vampire I have left.  I'm might be including PRJ prints and/or trading cards with each order.  Or maybe I'll toss in old Off Road art as a surprise.  But we'll see.

ALSO, I'm going to be widening the gap between page prices.  For example, a $200 page will be knocked down to a $100 page, while a $400 page will be knocked up to $500.  This ensures that students and people low on cash can still afford something while the "choice" pages make up for the loss of sales.

I've also decided to finally sell that Batman cover and the Pinup with him and the Batmobile.

I'll announce it a few weeks in advance so people will have a fair shot at getting the page they want.

So I'm a huge fan of your work and I've written a 7 part graphic novel that takes place in 7 different time periods. I'm developing a promotional piece to shop it. I need someone to draw 10 black and white pages from the graphic novel for this promotional issue #0, and if I sell it I'll need someone to draw the whole graphic novel. Please let me know your rate per page/ or flat rate for the whole thing (each chapter being 28 pages) and if your schedule permits taking on more work.
