Oh WOW!!!! You are my hero with this bg - seriously!!! It's amazing with the perspective and the balance of the b&w tones, and still all those details! I love how well done and fresh it and just how exciting and interesting it looks.. It's GREAT! Like many said already - makes me wanna improve and do better, try harder to be eble o get such effects! It's awesome! ;w; *stares more*
You are amazing! It makes me want to keep practicing with ink instead of running to photoshop all the time. I really love this pic. What was the original size? Was it all with a brush or did you also use a quill?
Thanks for all the inspiration! If only you know how much it motivates people like me!
When I do backgrounds the people in the foreground become harder to see because I add details to the backgound and details to the character and it distracts. or something. i dunno what to do. your backgrounds are detailed and so are the people yet its not distracting or hard to see in any way. How do you do that?! lol
ok, here's something i wonder about inking, especially on the topic of inking with a brush. at the top of this page you have those beams where the trolls would walk or something, and you've done this with alot of structures and buildings in cities.... my question is: how do you get those amazingly straight lines? like do you just have a good hand or is there a way of using a ruler with your brush or something? like, if i ever wanted to get lines like that i'd immediately run to my pens. what say you?
