Batman Statue by seangordonmurphy Batman Statue by seangordonmurphy
My Batman B&W statue was hand-modeled by the same artist who did Mignola's. Most people use digital modelling these days, so I was thrilled when DC gave me someone who could do it old school. My goal was to make it look good from every direction (rather than having him just standing there), so I added lots of directional details to keep the eye flowing (the cape, the Dark Knight stick, etc). The final version will also have a batarang on a cable hanging from the belt, which will also help the flow.

Dude, this is SO mega sick, I still regret that day years back when I saw the mignola statue at the comic book store and didn't buy it. This is easily the first i've seen that I liked as much.

That is absolutley gorgeous, captures your angular style well, the Mignola one also has his angular look. Who is the sculpter?
